Through the amavita Foundation, we launched the Miami Initiative to Stop Amputations (MISA) to combat unnecessary limb loss from peripheral artery disease. Our outreach focuses on education, early detection, and treatment for underserved communities in Miami-Dade County, particularly among Hispanic and African-American populations.

Our goal: Reduce non-traumatic lower extremity amputations in Miami-Dade County by 20% over the next decade.
